The Tear Gas is a throwable weapon featured in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. While not as explosive as other throwables, Tear Gas is perfect for disorienting and incapacitating enemies. Upon detonation, it releases a cloud of gas that causes continuous damage to anyone caught within the area of effect, making it ideal for crowd control and forcing enemies out of cover.

Design

The Tear Gas canister is a small, throwable device that releases a thick cloud of toxic gas upon impact. The gas lingers in the area for a short duration, damaging and disorienting any enemies within the cloud. Its non-lethal nature makes it useful for controlling the battlefield, forcing enemies to move out of cover or preventing them from advancing. The gas is particularly effective in enclosed spaces, where enemies have fewer escape options.

Performance

In both GTA V and GTA Online, Tear Gas is used primarily as a tactical tool for controlling crowds or flushing enemies out of cover. It deals continuous damage to enemies within its area of effect, but it is not as immediately deadly as other explosives. Instead, it’s designed to weaken and disorient targets, making them easier to eliminate. Players need to be cautious, as staying within the gas cloud too long can cause significant damage to both enemies and the thrower.

Customization

The Tear Gas cannot be customized, but its ability to control space and incapacitate enemies makes it a valuable tool for tactical players.

The Tear Gas can be found in various Locations across both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online:
