About GTA V's Businesses

One of the things that makes Los Santos feel like a living city is the depth of its commercial layer. GTA V populates the map with branded storefronts, billboards, TV commercials and radio ads for over 90 in-world businesses — most of them recognizable parodies of real-world brands, all of them woven into mission content, story moments and the game's sense of humour.

Vehicle manufacturers are the largest category — 45 brands stamped on every drivable car, bike, boat and plane. Pegassi is the Lamborghini stand-in, Truffade is Bugatti, Grotti is Ferrari, and Bravado covers Dodge muscle. Most player vehicles are bought from three online dealerships — Legendary Motorsport (high-end road cars), Southern San Andreas Super Autos (mid-range), and Warstock Cache & Carry (weaponised and military).

Banks are mostly there to be robbed. The opening cinematic depicts the Ludendorff raid on the Blaine County Savings Bank nine years before the main story. The Fleeca Bank is hit in the first GTA Online heist, and the Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank is the climactic five-stage online heist worth around $1.25 million. The Maze Bank owns the tallest building in the state — the iconic Maze Bank Tower dominates the downtown skyline.

Trevor's businesses form their own arc. He forcibly acquires the Vanilla Unicorn from the Lost MC in a mid-game mission and uses it as both a save point and a base of operations, running Trevor Philips Enterprises out of the back office alongside his Sandy Shores meth lab and the Sandy Shores Airfield smuggling operation.

Storefronts are dotted across both Los Santos and Blaine County — Ammu-Nation firearm stores in every district, Binco cheap clothing, Ponsonbys high-end fashion, 24/7 and LTD Gasoline convenience stores, plus barbers and tattoo parlours where players can customise their character. The Vangelico Jewelry Store in Rockford Hills is the target of the game's first major heist.

And then there are the brand parodies on every billboard: Sprunk and eCola in vending machines, Pißwasser beer (target of Trevor's frequent disgust), Cluckin' Bell and Burger Shot in every strip mall, and the Bean Machine coffee chain (Starbucks parody) on every other Vinewood corner.
