“Target Practice” is a Strangers & Freaks mission in Grand Theft Auto V, featuring Trevor Philips and Cletus Ewing. In this mission, Trevor helps Cletus with some good old-fashioned target shooting, marking the beginning of Trevor’s hunting lessons.

In “Target Practice,” Trevor encounters Cletus, an eccentric local who enjoys hunting and target shooting. Cletus invites Trevor to take part in a series of shooting exercises around the town of Sandy Shores. These challenges involve shooting car tires, satellite dishes, and taking down wild animals, as Cletus shows Trevor the basics of precision shooting in the desert.

Objective 1: Shoot Car Tires

• Meet Cletus: The mission begins when Trevor meets Cletus in Sandy Shores. Cletus invites Trevor to help him with some shooting practice around the town.
• Shoot the Tires: Cletus challenges Trevor to shoot the tires of three parked Vehicles without attracting too much attention. Using a Sniper Rifle provided by Cletus, players must shoot the tires cleanly to progress.

Objective 2: Shoot the Satellite Dishes

• Take Out the Dishes: After completing the first objective, Cletus directs Trevor to a few satellite dishes on the rooftops around town. Players must shoot the dishes without disturbing the residents below.
• Precision Required: Players must be careful not to miss the small targets or alert nearby civilians, making precise shots essential.

Objective 3: Hunting with Cletus

• Final Challenge: For the final task, Cletus takes Trevor to the outskirts of Sandy Shores to shoot a wild elk. This is the first taste of hunting that Trevor will experience, with more hunting Missions available later in the game.
• Complete the Shot: Players must follow Cletus’s instructions to get a clean shot on the elk, concluding the mission once the animal is taken down.

Mission Conclusion

• Cutscene: After completing the shooting challenges, Cletus congratulates Trevor on his marksmanship and hints that more hunting adventures await.
• Rewards: No monetary rewards are given, but this mission unlocks future hunting Missions with Cletus and introduces the concept of hunting in the game.
