“Complications” is an early story mission in Grand Theft Auto V, in which Franklin works for Simeon Yetarian, a car dealer with dubious business practices. This mission introduces the unexpected and complex relationship between Franklin Clinton and Michael De Santa, setting up major story arcs for the rest of the game.

In “Complications,” Simeon Yetarian instructs Franklin to repossess a vehicle from a customer who is behind on payments. However, the vehicle belongs to Jimmy De Santa, Michael’s son, and Michael intervenes in the Repossession. This encounter sparks the beginning of a significant relationship between Franklin and Michael.

Objective 1: Head to Michael’s House

• Introduction: The mission begins with Franklin receiving instructions from Simeon to retrieve a car. Drive to the De Santa residence in Rockford Hills to begin the Repossession.

Objective 2: Infiltrate the House

• Enter the Property: When you arrive, approach the house. A cutscene will show Franklin hopping over the wall to sneak inside.
• Avoid Detection: Franklin must enter the garage without being seen. Players need to use stealth, avoiding family members who are inside the house. Enter through the side window to access the garage.

Objective 3: Drive the Car

• Surprise Passenger: After Franklin finds the car (a yellow 9F Cabrio), he drives away from the house, only to have Michael suddenly reveal himself from the back seat. A cutscene plays where Michael forces Franklin to keep driving.
• Drive to the Dealership: Michael orders Franklin to take the car back to Simeon’s dealership, planning to teach Simeon a lesson. Players must drive to Premium Deluxe Motorsport while listening to the dialogue between Michael and Franklin.

Objective 4: Confront Simeon

• Michael’s Plan: When they arrive at the dealership, Michael forces Franklin to crash the car through the dealership window. This triggers a confrontation between Michael and Simeon.
• Beat Up Simeon: Players briefly take control of Michael, who must fight and beat up Simeon in the dealership, delivering a warning about exploiting customers.
