Overview
Franklin and Lamar is the first mission featuring Franklin Clinton as the protagonist in Grand Theft Auto V. The mission involves Franklin and his friend Lamar Davis as they attempt to repossess two high-end vehicles from a wealthy neighborhood on behalf of Simeon Yetarian's dealership.
The mission introduces players to Franklin's life in Los Santos and his relationship with Lamar. It also sets the stage for Franklin's future interactions with Michael De Santa.
Players must navigate through the streets of Los Santos, evade the LSPD, and return the vehicles to the dealership.

Walkthrough
1 Head to the Dealership
- Drive to Simeon's dealership. Franklin and Lamar start the mission outside Premium Deluxe Motorsport.
2 Follow Lamar to the Cars
- Follow Lamar to the target vehicles. The cars are located in a driveway in a wealthy neighborhood.
3 Race Lamar to the Dealership
- Race Lamar back to the dealership. Choose either the white or red car and compete with Lamar in a street race.
4 Evade the Police
- Evade the LSPD after the race. The police are alerted during the race, and Franklin must lose them before proceeding.
5 Return the Car to the Dealership
- Return the car to Premium Deluxe Motorsport. After losing the cops, drive the car back to Simeon's dealership.
Gold Medal Objectives
- Not a Scratch — Deliver the car with minimal damage.
- Focused Driver — Spend less than 10 seconds in the opposing lane.
- Winner — Win the race against Lamar.
- We Come in Peace — Avoid hitting any aliens in the movie studio.
To achieve the gold medal, drive carefully to avoid damaging the car and stay in the correct lane as much as possible. Winning the race requires taking shortcuts and maintaining high speed.
Aftermath
After the mission, Franklin returns to his home, where he lives with his aunt Denise. This mission introduces players to Franklin's personal life and his ambitions to rise above his current circumstances.
Completing this mission unlocks the next mission, 'Repossession', and further develops Franklin's relationship with Lamar and Simeon.
