Overview
In the mission Friend Request, Michael De Santa is tasked by Lester Crest to infiltrate the Lifeinvader offices and plant a device on a prototype phone. This mission is a crucial setup for a significant event that will unfold during a live presentation by Jay Norris, the CEO of Lifeinvader.
Michael must disguise himself as an IT technician to gain access to the building. Once inside, he needs to locate the prototype phone and install the device without raising suspicion.

Walkthrough
1 Visit Suburban Store
- Drive to the Suburban store. Michael needs to purchase clothes that will allow him to blend in as an IT technician.
2 Purchase IT Technician Outfit
- Buy the appropriate clothing. Select a suitable outfit that resembles an IT worker's attire.
3 Head to Lifeinvader Offices
- Drive to the Lifeinvader building. The building is located in Los Santos, and Michael must arrive there in his new disguise.
4 Enter the Lifeinvader Building
- Walk into the reception area. Michael needs to enter the building and act naturally to avoid suspicion.
5 Plant the Device
- Locate the prototype phone. Michael must find the prototype phone on a desk within the office.
- Install the device on the phone. Michael discreetly plants the device on the prototype without being noticed.
Gold Medal Objectives
- Time — Complete the mission within 8 minutes.
- Popups Clear — Clear all popups within 32 seconds.
- Invader — Complete the mission without being detected.
To achieve the gold medal, focus on moving quickly through each objective, especially when clearing the popups on the computer. Avoid unnecessary actions that could waste time.
Aftermath
After the mission, Michael returns to his home where he watches the live broadcast of Jay Norris's presentation. The event concludes with the device causing a fatal incident during the presentation, fulfilling Lester's plan.
The mission unlocks the next heist preparation mission, Casing the Jewel Store, which is a part of the game's main storyline.
