Overview
In 'The Third Way', Franklin Clinton faces a pivotal decision that will determine the outcome of the story. Tasked with choosing between killing Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, or finding a way to save them both, Franklin opts to work with Lester Crest to eliminate their mutual enemies.
This mission involves Franklin, Michael, and Trevor working together to take down several key antagonists, including Devin Weston, Steve Haines, and others who have been threats throughout the game.
The mission is the final storyline mission in Grand Theft Auto V, providing a resolution that allows all three protagonists to survive and continue their lives in Los Santos.
Mission Objectives

Walkthrough
1 Meet Lester
- Drive to Lester's house. Franklin needs to meet Lester Crest to discuss the plan to save both Michael and Trevor.
2 Plan the Ambush
- Discuss the plan with Lester. Lester outlines a strategy to eliminate all major threats to the protagonists.
3 Eliminate Merryweather
- Head to the foundry. Franklin, Michael, and Trevor must eliminate the Merryweather guards stationed there.
4 Take Down Haines
- Go to Del Perro Pier. Franklin is tasked with eliminating Steve Haines while he is filming at the pier.
5 Eliminate Cheng
- Travel to the foundry. Trevor takes on Wei Cheng and his men at the foundry.
6 Confront Stretch
- Head to the Ballas territory. Franklin confronts and eliminates Stretch, who has been a threat to him.
7 Infiltrate Weston's Mansion
- Drive to Weston's mansion. The team infiltrates Devin Weston's mansion to eliminate him and end his threat.
Gold Medal Objectives
- Headshots — Kill 20 enemies with headshots.
- Accuracy — Finish with a shooting accuracy of at least 70%.
- Time — Complete the mission in less than 21 minutes.
- No Deaths — Complete the mission without any protagonist dying.
Focus on headshots and use cover effectively to maintain accuracy. Plan your route efficiently to complete the mission within the time limit.
Aftermath
After the mission, Franklin, Michael, and Trevor have eliminated all their major enemies, allowing them to continue their lives without immediate threats.
The mission concludes the main storyline of Grand Theft Auto V, with all three protagonists remaining alive and free to pursue their own paths in Los Santos.
